What “Not Selected” Actually mean in previous days:

  • It redirects to another page

Google’s John Muller said it was removed jus because of the reason it was confusing one for the webmasters. It was actually removed to help the Webmasters. Is it Google will support PageRank Tool Bar in Future?

Google has recently launched a video which explained by Matt Cutts about PageRank tool bar.  The video is all about featuring Matt Cutts supporting the view of having the Toolbar PageRank updated for an only some more years until internet explorer 10 becomes so accepted that fewer people feel the need to add Google Toolbar on their browser. He says still many visitors are still using the PageRank Toolbar to judge the web page importance. Hence Google will keep update the PageRank Toolbar until percentage of users of this toolbar get reduces. This is a future possibility as internet explorer 10 provides as add on free practice, to eliminate the need to install the toolbar. Also Google Chrome does not display the Toolbar PageRank. How we can improve the Link building strategies for Penguin Update?

We all know update the Penguin update, it’s mainly to minimizing the manipulate of sites using black-hat SEO techniques which mainly done for keyword stuffing, cloaking, spamdexing, content duplication, and much more. So Lots of Websites were losses the rank due to the penguin update. Few websites not affected. This post explains how we can improve our link building strategy to gain good links for this penguin update.

Link Building for Page Rank

The main objective of link exchange or blog comment is to increase back links and also improve page rank. Increase your website exposure by obtaining comments on your own blog through compelling content, and convincing other websites to link to yours through organic means. It actually involves having strong blog articles, attention from social media’s and updating. This type of strategy will reward you with good and natural high-quality links but more brand exposure and quality traffic from these placements.

Remove Bad Links and start gaining Good Links

As we know penguin update is mainly to penalize the sites links of poor quality. So it’s time to act on your links. Know all your and do analysis on it. Then identify which link is high risk and downgrading your website. The final step is to request link removal from the sites presently linking to your website and hope that webmasters follow through on your request.

Removing high risk links is one part and also you should pay good links on website is needed. After the Penguin Update, the Links which was placed on footer and side bar becomes less value. If you have such links on your website, it’s time to remove. Now the only right place you can safely place links is within your website content and in your blog posts, your product descriptions, your reference pages, and other standard content locations.  If you really have good reason for adding another site on your website please do it. If it for some link reasons then don’t do it.

Suggestions are adding testimonial and contest pages, increasing the frequency of blog posts, and adding videos, social media feeds, and other physically powerful search engine-friendly content to your site.

Having Balanced Nofollow and Dofollow links

When we start gaining links for website ist sure that few links would be great and few not. It appears natural to the search engine when we have both nofollow and dofollow links are balanced in the website also gives you the proper search engine boost you’re looking for.

Importance of Anchor Text and Branded Links

Keyword focused anchor text also come under search and there’s a need to be natural looking here too. After penguin update, links using keywords where a company name or brand name should be listed have made Google and other search engines guarded. Instead having direct keywords to link we can have the company name this is highly appreciated by search engine these days. You can have this type of anchor text for few links not for all the links. This same idea applies to the whole thing on your website.  When it comes to written content, type of keywords, amount of links, and everything else, the objective is to keep it natural (remember, think like a PR person). If someone like your brand and find it a helpful resource, then search engines will like it too and your link building tactic will be a success.
